The President of the 8th Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki, has remained silent about his rumoured 2023 Presidential ambition, .
At a time when Politicians like the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Leader, Bola Tinubu, Senator Orji Uzor-Kalu, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, among others, have made their intentions public, the former Senate President, who many Nigerians are likely to back for the Presidential race, due to his young age, tough handling of the National Assembly with the Executive, while he was Chairman, among other solid leadership qualities he possesses, has not made his intentions known, whether officially or unofficially.
Saraki, who is a Leader of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is believed to be the only Politician who can defeat a former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, to win the 2023 Presidential ticket of the party, especially due to his young age.
However, if he decides for whatever reason not to join in the race, the PDP may be left with Atiku, who in some quarters is believed to be the strongest Presidential Candidate the party can present to defeat any Candidate the ruling APC will present for the election.
As the weeks go by, Nigerians will continue to wait to see if the former Senate President will make his intentions known for the 2023 Presidency.
