HIJAB TUSSEL: CAN MOVE TO DOUBLECROSS A LEGISLATIVE DECISION APPROVING HIJAB IN ALL GOVERNMENTAL PARASTATALS IS AN ACT OF TERRORISM ON THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY
For donkey years, many had misconcepted religious intolerance to be the daily bread of the Islamic fold perpetrated through series of policies not respecting faith of others.
However, the activities of the Christian Association of Nigeria to halt the adoption of Hijab in all Governmental Parastatals and the Kwara State Public schools stereotypes of Schoolgirls in Hijab is a fanatical attempt by CAN to oust the course of justice and injure public interest.
Notwithstanding the fact that Kwara State is 86% Muslims, CAN without a second thought went into the boxing ring; won’t her tooth get gushed out ?
Nothing is a right when exercise of such will constitute an infringement of the rights of others, this is what the constitution says and it is trite that anyone who wish to exercise any right take a mirror look of this section.
The Religious Dnicrimination (Prohibition Prevention) Bill 2021 has been yesterday condemned by CAN through her Secretary, Joseph Daramola, who argued that legislating the wearing of Hijab in Schools would lead to trouble that the sponsors of the bill may not be able to handle, positing that the bill is ill-tamed and Uncalled for.
It is equally noteworthy at this junction to state the fact that THURIST wish to inform the teeming Muslim community that the Religious Discrimination (Prohibition and Prevention) bill 2021 has come to stay and CAN attack to it’s take off is a toothless bull dog that cannot even bite and dead on arrival.
THURIST wish to put on record that, the kwara Hijab crisis shall be given a legal approach if problem persists and erring churches kept keeping pace in adherence to the state law as we shall be obliged to sue in respect of such in any school under the Government of Kwara State.
Since can is not concern about morality and legality as an avenue to foster peaceful coexistence of Muslim and Christian faithfuls in the state, THURIST shall work to strive in making sure that the constitution works for the common benefit of all Nigerians.
Unshackling the story if education in Nigeria, and the nefarious activities of CAN in the discontinuance of Hijab oriented school with regards is alarming, the Christian body does not even value the education of our people through disruption of academic activities over the wearing of Hijab in any Government owned schools.
For all intent and purposes, THURIST wish to note as well that giving an Islamic wear a ill-befiting colouration by CAN is National heresy, unethical and Professional; while are closely monitoring the full implementation.
