The Managing Director, MD, of Lekki Concession Company, LCC, in charge of management of the Lekki toll gate, in Lagos State, has revealed to the Lagos Judicial Panel of Inquiry, investigating the ordered shooting of peaceful EndSARS protesters on Tuesday night, on October 20, that there is no CCTV footage of the event of that night,
He stated that there is no CCTV footage from 8pm, of the said night of the shooting, due to network issues.
This is however, contrary to the statement earlier made by the company, suggesting confidently that they have the footage of the tragic night.
Also, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, had assured the Media, that the CCTV cameras and footage from the said night were intact.
The interrogation of the MD was still ongoing, as at the time of filing in this report.
UPDATE
The Judicial Panel has adjourned hearing till Friday, November 6, for the viewing of the other CCTV footage which they claim to have.
The Head of the Panel refused to show the footage today, citing technicalities.
