Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on Saturday, technically showed Nigerians that he has given up on the Electoral system in the country, Page 36 learnt.
This is as the former President who in recent times has been fighting for a New Nigeria unofficially through the Labour Party, LP, failed to show up at his Polling Unit 22, Ward 11, Olusomi compound, Totoro area of Abeokuta-North Local Government Area of Ogun State, to vote in the Saturday, March 18, 2023, Governorship and Houses of Assembly elections.
Note that this is the first time since 1999, that the two-time Military and Democratic President will not be voting in an election, especially since democracy in 1999.
However, checks showed that he travelled out of Nigeria 10 days before the Governorship and Houses of Assembly elections, and is yet to return back to the country.
