Barely 24-hours after the ‘missing’ First Lady, Aisha Buhari, turned 50 years old, President Muhammadu Buhari, her husband, is yet to send her a congratulatory message on the special occasion,
This came to the fore after the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, and the wife of the Osun State Governor, Mrs. Kafayat Oyetola, as well as the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, sent congratulatory messages to Aisha, on her 50th birthday celebration.
Also, the wife of the Vice President, Dolapo Osinbajo, also celebrated the First Lady.
Mrs. Osinbajo, in a post on Instagram, said a prayer for the wife of the President, wishing her a long life, and good health.
She wrote: “Happy 50th birthday H. E. @aishambuhari. I wish you many happy returns of today, peace, joy, long life and good health. May all your prayers be heard and answered. May the desires of your heart be granted. God bless you today and always.”
Page 36 gathered that the tactical refusal of President Buhari to congratulate his wife on her 50th birthday, may be connected to the cold war among them earlier, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, in Abuja.
She had disappeared to the United Arab Emirate, UAE, for several months, since after her daughter’s wedding at the Presidential Villa.
Page 36 could vividly recall, that Aisha Buhari has been out of Nigeria for many months now.
Report making the rounds revealed that the President’s wife left the country, in protest against “certain developments” in the Presidency.
It was gathered that the First Lady is not in a hurry to return, despite spending over 6 months outside the country, as she reportedly stated that the Aso Rock Villa is not secure for her family.
This concern was triggered by a shooting incident which occurred in June 2020, and caused some panic among occupants of the Aso Rock Villa.
It was reported that there was a crisis at the Villa, after the Security Detail of the President’s wife removed President Buhari’s Personal Assistant, Sabiu ‘Tunde’ Yusuf, from the Villa, after he refused to embark on the 14-day Covid-19 isolation period, upon returning from a trip to Lagos.
Shortly afterwards, the First Lady’s ADC, Usman Shugaba, in an attempt to apprehend Yusuf, reportedly fired gunshots, but the President’s Aide escaped to the residence of Mamman Daura, where he spent the night.
Yusuf Buhari, the President’s son, soon ordered for the arrest of Aisha’s ADC and other Security Detail, in connivance with President Buhari’s Chief Security Officer.
President Buhari had also ordered for a probe into the alleged security breach inside the Presidential Villa.
A top source revealed that the First Lady has now relocated quietly to the United Arab Emirate, and no one knows when she would return back to the country.
